The Multi-Stage Relational Threat Model
How antecedents, threat appraisal, and anxiety patterns connect.
LUMA's assessment architecture follows a multi-stage model: antecedent conditions (individual vulnerabilities, relational context, and sociocultural pressures) shape how a person appraises romantic threat and processes relational uncertainty — availability, worth, responsiveness, status, and future viability. That appraisal, in turn, shapes which of the six Love Anxiety dimensions becomes most salient, and which behavioral, relational, and psychological responses follow.
This is a theoretical model under active development and validation, not an established clinical framework. LUMA's Research Beta assessment is one instrument built to operationalize and test it.
